I had the amazing privilege to work with 80 budding entrepreneurs, all with a burning desire to make a difference and change the world for the better. We all came together for Techstars Startup Weekend, Social Impact Edition.
Hosted at Campus London, the event started on Friday evening where over 50% of attendees pitched their ideas. Ultimately, 15 projects were chosen, groups based on passion points were formed, and the ideation process commenced.
It wasn’t fluffy brainstorming.
TechStars have a tried and tested framework from developing an idea through to pitching and it all starts with the “Lean Canvas”
Fantastic mentors support the groups, which were actively encouraged to “fall in love with the problem, not with the solution”, as Simon Azzopardi, said.
Pizza, sushi, coffee, tears, sweat and more contributed to an outstanding Sunday night of pitches that thoroughly entertained and inspired.
Check out the video for a very small taste of how it all works.
